And so POTG....

Was in a game correct now on nepal...playing Genji, and they had the point in the middle. Both teams at 99%. And basically i'm going into the eye where their team is and I offset hitting them, and I see a tracer coming at me... shes not shooting at me, only I still put my deflect up and aim at her, and she uses her ulti on me, but I manage to aim it back at her instead. She so blinks back to where her team is, thus killing off herself and 2 of her teammates. And I manage to capture the indicate and win the game since i'm the only i at that place, just in that moment i'm thinking "hohohooo POTG!!"
And then it's fourth dimension for POTG.... and lo and fucking behold...it's torbjorn....repairing his turret...then proceeding to die after about 3 seconds, followed by 3 kills from his turret.

Non trying to sound similar i'yard sitting on a high horse here, I do dearest a good torbjorn actor but ..... fuck me man...I actually promise they look into how POTG works a bit more.

Didn't they already admit that PotG is flawed and mostly looks at multiple kills in quick succession? At to the lowest degree I think that'south what was said in the last thread most it.

I got PotG equally Symmetra for shutting down Genji'south ultimate which was kinda funny as information technology was my just kill during the impale cam.

To be honest that was quite horrible part of the lucifer, missed plenty of my shots.

I had a nice POTG yesterday. I killed a mercy and a tracer as widow so a winston tried too jump on me but jumped off the border instead I purposely followed him with my scope in hopes of getting it in POTG and I did haha

Epic!

POTG is numerically the best thing that happened. If yous think that's bad... take a footstep back and wait at how bad the residuum of the match was.
As for Torbjorn, a few turret assisted kills while handing out armor on the point is ofttimes steals POTG.

Just a Setback

Similar my get-go PotG on Tracer, was me making three kills in succession with my pistols. I even miss my pulse flop ultimate in the procedure. It'due south just that information technology was on the objective and the simply interesting affair that happened.
And nosotros lost to boot. Unfortunately the opposing team got us at a choke betoken (this was Numbani) and we couldn't push button through in time.

Not sure how PotG works, priority wise, only I believe it looks for Shutdowns, Killing Sprees and Ultimates.
A few examples:
> If y'all get a good killing spree where yous killed or assisted (with most damage dealt at the end), PotG.
> If you shutdown someone afterwards a killing spree and/or being on fire, PotG.
> If y'all shutdown someone during his ultimate initialization or effect, PotG.
> If yous resurrect 3 or more players with Mercy's ultimate, PotG.
> If you pull the unabridged enemy team with Zarya'south Q, the chances are one of your teammates will get PotG by dealing more than damage with their own Qs.
> Practice anything while standing in or nearly the objective, PotG. (This i doesn't seem to be as valuable but will take priority over PotG with equal or similar value in random spots)

Simple examples but I retrieve they are pretty close to what the game takes a look at. Information technology is hard to make a calculator estimate what was truly useful or bully, even with an improved algorithm there will exist times where the PotG volition exist a soul crushing rampage by a Torbjorn's turret. Feels like 99% of all games are like Hanzo or Junkrat ultimates

Lined up three Zarya Ults perfectly in 3 dissimilar matches and got 0 PoTG. All of which a Hanzo or Tracer got a 4-Kill or 5-Impale off my ultimate. Cool to see my ult contribute so much more than than the kills themselves.
Won all three of those matches.

I'd be perfectly fine with that to resolve the problem lol --- Don't gear up information technology, just remove it! They could fifty-fifty still let it record your last few "highlights" like it already does fifty-fifty if you didnt become PoG, so yous tin can spotter them on your own time.

For PoTgs based on kills they should have a simple point system with certain multipliers.
E.thou;
1 impale = 100 points
Kills in objective area = +25%
Kills due to a special = -25%
Kills that acquired a shutdown = +25%
That mode one yolowheel would have less of a chance and then someone going on a hero spree and killing three players without their ult up.

Really I see a lot different POTG from my friend playing Reinhardt or myself as Reaper (like vii Reaper POTG out of 10 games...). I too often encounter shutdowns and sharpshoot POTG. Didn't meet Bastion'due south for like years, nor Torbjörns o.ò

They know that PTOG is flawed. Currently it's not only kills that count towards information technology but yeah, sometimes information technology can be frustrating to watch a POTG where Torb is just looking at his turret.

It can be funny if a Torb gets PotG and you just picket him fail so hard while stacking turret kills. The best was one who ran down a hole in the floor trying to escape a Zenyatta!!
